Soy fan de los primeros juegos de RE desde muy chiquita， pero no fue hasta ahora que me animé a leerlo únicamente porque una amiga comenzó a juntarse los libros y hacemos intercambio entre libros， novelas ligeras y mangas。 La narración de Perry no es mi favorita， pero Rebeca es un personaje que hubiera apreciado mucho que fuera un personaje recurrente en la franquicia。

I think this a great book for Resident evil fans。 They'll love it just for that。 I've watched countless hours of let's plays and livestream's of the Resident evil franchise， so I do too。However， the way it was written was frustrating for me。 The Author seems to have a love affair for commas。 It was like finding gold whenever I found a sentence with no extra's on it。 I have never hated the sight of punctuation so much。There's a lack of trust in the reader as if they need things to really be spell I think this a great book for Resident evil fans。 They'll love it just for that。 I've watched countless hours of let's plays and livestream's of the Resident evil franchise， so I do too。However， the way it was written was frustrating for me。 The Author seems to have a love affair for commas。 It was like finding gold whenever I found a sentence with no extra's on it。 I have never hated the sight of punctuation so much。There's a lack of trust in the reader as if they need things to really be spelled out or they won't get it。 'Rebecca hurried from the room， moving quickly。' 。。。DUH？！ There's so many sentences like this。 It weakens the writing。The action scenes are too quick。 We come across some of the iconic monsters and just rush through it。 The description moments are too slow and lots of unnecessary description too。 We're told what the character is about to do and then again when they do it。 We're told their emotions when it's shown。 Everyone seems to just stand there as the monster's/zombies shamble towards them or gear up to attack。 Come on， people！I think the POV switches were badly done， just hashing over things that'd gone on in the previous POV。 It really sapped the tension from it。 If this was tightened up， it'd be a solid read。 。。。more

Mi primer lectura del año！！！ Y este año， parece ser el año de Resident Evil， así que。。。 nada mal para iniciar el trauma。 Pues me faltaban los primeros 2 libros por leer， llevo el cero y pues me encanta cómo está adaptado， la señora tiene mis respetos porque incluye siempre los trucos de los juegos， quizá si las películas hubieran sido basadas en estos libros， pues quizá tendrían más seguidores por parte de los que somos fans de la franquicia （aunque las películas a mí si me gustan， al menos las Mi primer lectura del año！！！ Y este año， parece ser el año de Resident Evil， así que。。。 nada mal para iniciar el trauma。 Pues me faltaban los primeros 2 libros por leer， llevo el cero y pues me encanta cómo está adaptado， la señora tiene mis respetos porque incluye siempre los trucos de los juegos， quizá si las películas hubieran sido basadas en estos libros， pues quizá tendrían más seguidores por parte de los que somos fans de la franquicia （aunque las películas a mí si me gustan， al menos las primeras 3 o 4。 En fin， espero que ya al haber leído el libro no me cueste ya tanto trabajo el pasar el juego。 No sé si lo deje en cinco estrellas o en 4， pero creo que esta saga va en específico para los que gustamos de los videojuegos。 。。。more

WAO。。。。。。 osea。。。。。。。 WAO！！！！！！ Este es de los mejores libros precuela de temática zombie que he leído en toda mi vida。Yo sabía que había mucha fanaticada con respecto a los video juegos y que eran muy buenos （nunca los he jugado） pero este libro me dejó con la boca abierta por lo perfecto que era， ya ahora entiendo la sensación de peligro y claustrofobia que los gamers sentían jugando el juego。De este libro me encantó todo！！！！！！！！- Las escenas están demasiado bien echas。- La descripción es abso WAO。。。。。。 osea。。。。。。。 WAO！！！！！！ Este es de los mejores libros precuela de temática zombie que he leído en toda mi vida。Yo sabía que había mucha fanaticada con respecto a los video juegos y que eran muy buenos （nunca los he jugado） pero este libro me dejó con la boca abierta por lo perfecto que era， ya ahora entiendo la sensación de peligro y claustrofobia que los gamers sentían jugando el juego。De este libro me encantó todo！！！！！！！！- Las escenas están demasiado bien echas。- La descripción es absolutamente magnífica， uno literalmente se puede imaginar todo sin problemas como si de verdad estuviera ahí。- La cantidad de zombies y criaturas mutadas que ofrece es barbara。- No tengo palabras para describir la ambientación tan perfecta que se utilizó。Uno estaba casi al borde del asiento con cada escena！！！ Desde que Rebecca encontró el tren parado uno ya sabía que todo iba para peor， y fue excelente！！！ Desde el ataque de los perros， las apariciones de los zombies en los vagones， además de los hombres sanguijuela y las escenas donde se encuentra a algunos miembros de su equipo casi agonizando sin saber que putas está pasando afuera del tren xq está requetecontra atrapada con Billy， esa sensación de encierro y claustrofobia with no escape que el autor logra crear en todo momento durante las escenas del tren y los laboratorios estuvo aterradoramente disfrutable， nunca se me va a olvidar。Pero lo que más destaca fueron el combate contra el Proto-Tyrant， yo creí que se me iba a parar el corazón en este combate， fue en mi opinión la parte más épica de todo el libro。。。。。。 pero aún así no contento el autor con habernos dado todo este agazajo de terror y adrenalina， después de hacernos pensar que el Proto-Tyrant era el "jefe final" del libro al tipo se le ocurre regalarnos el combate final con la Reina Sanguijuela！！！！！！！ Osea es que qué más se le puede pedir a la vida？？？ Este fue otro combate que estuvo rudisimo y me tuvo al borde del asiento， les juro que tenía que estar parando a ratitos la lectura xq sentía que ya me estaba dando taquicardia de la emoción y el miedo que sentía con este libro。Ya para finalizar cabe mencionar que la escena final me gustó bastante x el echo de que OK si Billy y Rebecca se salvaron pero Rebecca se fue directito al bosque no recuerdo bien si para buscar ayuda o al resto de su equipo。。。。。。。 PERO SE FUE AL BOSQUE！！！！！！！ Al bosque con los perros zombies y sepa Dios cuanta criatura y zombie más， que esa sensación me generara un incierto en saber si después del final Rebecca iba a sobrevivir o no fue de lo mejor que he sentido， me encantan los finales abiertos！！！！！！！！！！！！！！Y claro que por supuesto， ese epílogo que con un parrafito le bastó para acomodarte en lo más profundo de mente el continuará estuvo genial！！！！！！Un libro precuela 100% recomendado， pueden leerlo bien bien antes de leer los libros principales， así lo hice yo y la verdad siento que se acomoda uno mejor。 。。。more

Entertaining read but definitely a video game novel。 I was dying to read this as a kid in love with Resident Evil and I'm glad I've finally gotten around to it but I wouldn't bother if I wasn't already a fan。 I appreciated the digs at the bizarre puzzles and lore bits throughout and the characterization of Billy and Rebecca were perfect。 Entertaining read but definitely a video game novel。 I was dying to read this as a kid in love with Resident Evil and I'm glad I've finally gotten around to it but I wouldn't bother if I wasn't already a fan。 I appreciated the digs at the bizarre puzzles and lore bits throughout and the characterization of Billy and Rebecca were perfect。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I gave this book three stars。 The quality of writing was just fine， the flow of the story smooth。 However， there seems to be a problem with the timeline。 While Zero Hour was written as the final installment to this series， it preludes Vol。 1， The Umbrella Conspiracy。 This story revolves mostly around Rebecca and how team Bravo made it to the mansion。 However， Wesker seems to be in two places at once。 In Zero Hour he’s at the water treatment facility when the Bravo teams ‘copter goes down。 But in I gave this book three stars。 The quality of writing was just fine， the flow of the story smooth。 However， there seems to be a problem with the timeline。 While Zero Hour was written as the final installment to this series， it preludes Vol。 1， The Umbrella Conspiracy。 This story revolves mostly around Rebecca and how team Bravo made it to the mansion。 However， Wesker seems to be in two places at once。 In Zero Hour he’s at the water treatment facility when the Bravo teams ‘copter goes down。 But in The Umbrella Conspiracy he’s at the station with the Alpha team when the Bravo’s go missing and that’s how it starts off the story to the Spencer mansion。 This wasn’t a story breaker by any means。 I understand sometimes when a series has gone on for more than a few books， authors tend to forget things。 The other issue is with Billy Coen。 While I understand why he couldn’t accompany Rebecca to the mansion， because this story was written way after the first and he wasn’t in it， but unfortunately this actually contradicts the character， Billy’s， behavior that I felt was well developed in this story。 。。。more
